Motorist caught driving on Kilkenny road high on cocaine
A motorist was arrested when he tested postive for cocaine after he was stopped by gardai on a Kilkenny road.
The driver was arrested last night by members of the Kilkenny Roads Policing Unit.
It came as gardai in Kilkenny and Carlow conducted several mandatory intoxicant testing checkpoints in both counties over the Bank Holiday weekend.
A local Garda spokesperson confirmed: “Kilkenny Roads Policing Unit arrested one driver on suspicion of drug driving after testing positive for cocaine. Prosecution to follow.”
