New developments of large family homes on outskirts of Kilkenny city get green light

Two new developments of family homes in Kilkenny city have been approved by planning chiefs.

Kilkenny County Council has given the green light to plans for a total of 20 large family homes on the outskirts of the city.

The first development of four and five bed houses will be built by Kilsion Ltd at Middleknock, on the Sion Road, just off the Ring Road.

These two-storey detached houses will range in size from just over 2,000 square feet to just under 3,000 square feet.

The second development at Friarsinch on the Bleach Road will consist of will eight new family houses.

As part of the development, the developer Roger Beeken will build four four-bed and four three-bed semi-detached homes.

The homes will have a unique feel about them as they are single-story houses to the front and three storey houses at the rear.
