Plans for development of large family homes in county Kilkenny town back on track

A housing development in a county Kilkenny town that was held while the council awaited further details from the developer is now back on track.

Canview Ltd originally lodged plans with the local authority in April to develop the large family homes in an effort to complete the housing development at Tougher Crescent in Urlingford.

On examining the proposal, Kilkenny County Council returned to Canview Ltd requesting more information regarding a flood-risk assessment of the site and the layout of the development.

Canview has now provided that information and is awaiting a decision from the local authority.

The proposal consists of the construction of four two-storey, five bedroom homes and three two-storey, four bedroom houses.

A decision on the development is expected in the coming weeks.
