Plans to expand new family housing development on outskirts of Kilkenny city
The company behind a new housing development currently under construction on the outskirts of Kilkenny city has applied to the local authority to bulid more homes on the site.
In January, Kilkenny County Council gave the green light for the construction of 44 new family homes at Rath Ullord, New Orchard, Newtown on the Bonnettsrath Road.
Now the developer, Wexford-based Madill Property Limited, is seeking to build an extra seven houses as part of the development.
The new houses will comprise of detached and semi-detached two-storey, four bedroom homes and will bring the total development to 51 homes.
Once completed, the new housing development will consist of four five-bedroom houses and 47 four-bedroom homes.
