Pride of place: Kilkenny’s tidiest estates revealed

Kilkenny County Council has announced the winners of the 2020 Tidy Estates Competition.
Fairview in Graiguenamanagh is deemed to be the cleanest large estate in the county.
De La Salle Place in Kilkenny city took the tidiest ‘medium sized estate’ accolade, while Mullinavat’s St Patrick’s Close in was named the county’s cleanest small housing development.
The competition encourages resident associations across the city and county to plan estate management works within their estates.
Announcing the winners recently, the leader of Kilkenny County Council, Cllr Andrew McGuinness, said: “I congratulate the winners and acknowledge the great work carried out in the estates by all the participating groups during a very challenging year. You are all to be commended for your sense of pride in the area in which you live.”
