Kilkenny disability service awarded almost €100,000

Close to €100,000 has been earmarked for two projects at one of Kilkenny’s disability services centre.

The investment in St Patrick’s Centre on the Kells Road in the city will see the upgrade of the building and funding to upgrade the IT infrastructure.

The €93,694 funding was announced by Kilkenny TD John Paul Phelan, who welcomed the much needed injection of cash into St Patrick’s.

“I’m delighted to see significant investment in St Patrick’s Centre in Kilkenny,” Deputy Phelan said

“It is to get €63, 694 for IT developments/ upgrades. A further €30,000 is being allocated for building works/ refurbishments, also in St Patrick’s.

“The one-off grants are being provided to reform disability services, build the capacity of disability organisations and to improve the quality of life of those who rely on these services,” Deputy Phelan added.
