REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Geraldine Aherne (née Rockett)
Castleroberts, Adare, Limerick

Geraldine Aherne (nee Rockett) late of Castleroberts, Adare, Co Limerick and Janesboro. Died 25th May 2020, peacefully, surrounded by her family at University Hospital Limerick. Sadly missed by her loving husband Mike, her sons Eoin, Gearoid, and Paraic, daughter-in-law Nina, sisters Mary, Helen, Margaret and brother Patrick, sisters-in-law Myra and Joan, brothers-in-law Jimmy and Jim, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large community of close friends.

Geraldine’s funeral will take place on Thursday, 28th May 2020, at 12pm. If you would like to be part of Geraldine’s farewell it will be streamed online at www.adareparish.ie

In line with best practice taken from government advise regarding public gatherings, a private funeral will take place. Mass Cards and letters of sympathy can be posted to Cross’ Funeral Directors. Rathcarrig, Fermoy, Cork

Baker (Fermoy) peacefully on May 26th 2020, surrounded by his loving family at his home Rathcarrig, Pike Rd., Fermoy. Donal (Quack), dearly beloved husband of Kathleen & devoted dad of Darren, Johnpaul, Rachel & Chelsea.

Donal will be forever missed by his loving family, brothers & sisters, mother-in-law Catherine, uncle Jimmy, aunt Julie, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, nephews & nieces, grandnephews & grandnieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours & friends.

Due to current restrictions, a private Funeral Service will be held after which Donal will be cremated at The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot, please leave a personal message in the section below ‘Condolences’. Marie Becton (née Clarke)
Greenhills, Dublin

Peacefully at Tallaght University Hospital. Predeceased by her beloved husband Sean (John). Marie will be very sadly missed by her loving family Paul, Gavan, Darren and Carmel; grandchildren Joe, Evie, Cayla, Jessie, Adam and Harry, daughters-in-law Rachel, Debbie and Jennifer, her brothers Michael, Eamonn and Jim, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Josephine (Jo) O’Shea (née Fitzgerald)
Haggard, Glenmore, Kilkenny

Jo passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of John and much loved mother of Marie, Eleanor, Brian and Catriona. Predeceased by her brothers Mon. Paul and Michael. Deeply regretted by her loving husband, daughters, son, sister Mai, brother Sean, sons-in-law John and Tom, daughter-in-law Julie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren John, Laura, Sofia, Ella, Mikey and Ollie, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

In keeping with current government guidelines regarding public gatherings, Jo’s remains will leave her residence on Thursday morning, arriving at St. James’ Church, Glenmore for private funeral at 12.00 noon.
