REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Seanacloc, Tower, Cork/Bennettsbridge, Kilkenny

Kennedy (Cork & Kilkenny) on June 18th 2021, peacefully in the presence of his loving family at the Mercy University Hospital; Walter (Seanacloc, Tower) (late of Bennett’s Bridge, Kilkenny). Beloved husband of Cathy (nee Herlihy) and the late Phil, loving father of the late Ian. Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

In accordance with current Government/H.S.E. guidelines and in the interest of public health a private funeral for family and close friends will take place for Walter, with Requiem Mass celebrated on Monday (21st June) at 11am in St. Bennett’s Church, Bennettsbridge, Co.Kilkenny. Interment afterwards in adjoining Cemetery.

Jimmy Phelan,
Aylwardstown, Glenmore, and late of Coolnaleen, Slieverue, Co. Kilkenny,
who died on Thursday 17th June 2021.

Peacefully, at University Hospital Waterford, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Anastasia, brother Johnny, sister-in-law Maura. Jimmy will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary (Née Irish), his children Michael, Kay, Pascal and Seamus, daughters-in-law Kate and Nicola, son-in-law Paul, grandchildren Anne-Marie, Sean, James, Charlie, Jonah, Sam, Niamh and Holly, sister-in-law Peggy (Buggy), extended family, neighbours and friends.

Jimmy will be reposing in Power’s Funeral Home, Ferrybank, on Saturday 19th June from 2.30pm until 5pm. Jimmy’s removal will take place from his home on Sunday, 20th June, to St. James’ Church, Glenmore, (via Newtown, Robinstown) arriving for Requiem Mass at 1.30pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
