REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Peacefully surrounded by his beloved family and in the loving care of the nursing and medical team at St Luke’s hospital after a short illness. Hugely loved and loving husband to Mary, and wonderful Dad to Brendan, Frances, Camilla, David and George. Grandfather to his four adoring grandchildren Georgie, Mary, Nancy and Patrick. Dearly loved by his sister Kathleen, his daughters-in-law Avril and Susannah and son-law Kieran, and by his many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by his brother Georgie, sisters Anna, Betty, Mary and Angela.

Reposing at his residence from 2.00pm on Monday afternoon with Rosary at 8.30pm. Removal to St Brigid’s Church, Lisdowney on Tuesday morning for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Elizabeth (Betty) BARTLETT (née Cummins)
Kilderry, Johnswell

Bartlett (nee Cummins), (Kilkderry, Johnswell, Co. Kilkenny) 30th October 2021, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff at Archersrath Nursing Home, Elizabeth (Betty), beloved wife of the late Ron and much loved mother of Paul and Alison, sadly missed by her loving family, daughter-in-law Geraldine, son-in-law Mick, grandchildren David and Abigail, great grandchildren Poppy and Florence, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Requiem Mass for Betty will be celebrated on Monday (Nov. 1st)) at 11.30am in St. John’s Church, Kilkenny, followed by interment in St. Kieran’s Cemetery.

Formerly of Church Avenue, Castlecomer & London, England
& Resident of Tinnypark Nursing Home, Kilkenny.

Sadly missed by her family, sons Clifford and Stephen (Cunnington), grandchildren Suzannah, Megan, Lauren, and Ryan, extended family, and her good friends Rose and Ned (Maguire).

Reposing at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlecomer on Monday (1st November) from 2-5pm for family and close friends. Removal from Coady’s Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1.40pm arriving at St. Mary’s Church, Castlecomer for Funeral Service at 2pm, followed by committal in the adjoining churchyard.

In line with government advice, use of face coverings, sanitizing and social distancing guidelines will apply.

Patrick MURPHY
Tullyvolty, Johnstown

Patrick died peacefully in the loving care of nurses and staff at Tinnypark Nursing Home, Kilkenny. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Kit and sister Breda (Lawlor). Deeply regretted by his loving family, brothers Dickie, Frank, Shem and Gerry, sisters Kathleen, Essie, Pauline and Bernadette, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Doyles Funeral Home, Urlingford, on Sunday evening from 5pm until 7.30pm. Removal on Monday morning to St. Kieran’s Church, Johnstown, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Johnstown Cemetery.

As per Covid 19 directives, please comply with government guidelines regarding public gathering, social distancing and face covering.
