Ruff justice: Canine cop sniffs out €50,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis in raids across Kilkenny city

A canine cop helped to sniff out a huge haul of illegal drugs during a series of planned Garda searches in Kilkenny city last week.

A local Garda spokesperson confirmed a number of planned searches were carried out by the Kilkenny-Carlow Divisional Drugs Unit, assisted by the Dog Unit, last Tuesday.

The operation resulted in the seizure of €40,000 of cannabis, €8,000 of cocaine and other drugs paraphernalia connected with the sale and supply of drugs.

Kilkenny gardai said “investigations are ongoing”.
