Seven Kilkenny schools approved for upgrade works under €31m scheme
Seven Kilkenny schools will undergo major upgrade works next summer.
They are among 275 schools across the country that will benefit from a €31 million package under the Summer Works Scheme announced by Education Minister Norma Foley this week.
The Summer Works Scheme (SWS) is designed to allow schools to carry out small and medium scale building works that will improve and upgrade existing school buildings.
The Kilkenny schools to benefit from the funding are:
- Clontubrid National School
- Goresbridge National School
- Ringville National School
- Scoil Bhridhe Paulstown
- Scoil Naisiunta Bhridhe, Kells
- Scoil Naisiunta Muire
- Scoil Naisiunta Shan Nioclas
Three of the schools will receive funding for roof works.
The other four school will get money to upgrade their toilet facilities.
