Crime against fashion: style-concious thief targets parked cars in Kilkenny

A STYLE-conscious thief stole expensive recording equipment and pairs of designer sunglasses from a car parked in a Kilkenny city estate.

The theft occurred at Hollybank Way on the Waterford Road between 11pm on Tuesday, September 3 and 7am on Wednesday, September 4.

The car was parked up in the estate overnight. When the owner returned in the morning he discoverd his video equipment and sunglasses had been taken from the car.

However, there was no evidence of the car being broken into and no damage was caused to the car.

Local gardai are urging any potential eyewitnesses or anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
