Spectacular new flower field in bloom at location in Kilkenny

A very yellow, and also very green initiative, is coming to Kilkenny.

The Kilkenny Sunflower field is being prepared at a location in Callan and promises acre after acre of beautifully tall yellow flowers reaching to the sky.

The Sunflower field, which is being grown to help Taxiwatch Suicide Prevention, will open in July right up until the end of the summer while the flowers remain in bloom.

The idea is so that people can visit the field, get lost in the vast expanse of flowers, take pictures and then bring some of the flowers home with them.

More details on the fundraising field will be announced closer to its opening in July. Entry will be free and all donations received will go to Taxiwatch Suicide Prevention.
