Shocked Kilkenny city resident returns home to find entire house ransacked

A Kilkenny city resident returned home to discover their house had been broken into and all of the rooms ransacked.

The break-in occurred at a property in The Orchard housing estate sometime between midday and 8pm on Friday.

A local Garda spokesperson confirmed: “A side window was damaged indicating that this was the point of entry. All rooms upstairs were ransacked, the office and a number of drawers downstairs were gone through.”

Gardai in Kilkenny are investigating the break-in.  They did not confirmed if anything was taken in the incident.
