Shocking: Thieves steal expensive electric fences from farm near Kilkenny city
Thieves broke into a field on the outskirts of the city and made off with expensive farming equipment.
The theft occurred at a farm in Rathmoyle, near Ballinamara, just to the north of Kilkenny city sometime between 6pm on Thursday, October 15 and 11am last Saturday. Electric fencing, a fence box and the battery for the equipment was stolen from the field.
Gardai have urged aanyone with information or who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time to come forward.
They are also asking for anyone who may have been offered this kind of equipment for sale to contact them at Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
