Spring has finally Sprung: sunny weather to continue this week, says Met Éireann
IT’S been a ‘March of many weathers’, but it appears Spring has finally Sprung in Kilkenny.
Yesterday saw much milder and brighter conditions than in previous weeks, and Met Éireann has said the sunny conditions are set to continue for the next few days.
The national forecaster said temperatures will rise to up to 14C in Kilkenny and throughout Leinster today – and the mercury is set to rise even higher tomorrow.
Met Éireann forecaster said: “Dry and calm today with a mix of sunny spells and cloud through the day, brightest across Leinster. Highest temperatures will range from 11C to 14C, in mostly light westerly breezes.”
However, tonight will be chilly with lows of 0C to 5C and some grass frost under a clear sky.
The outlook for the coming days is for a lot of dry and calm weather with high pressure in charge, but with further frosts by night.
Any rainfall will mainly occur on Friday night and early Saturday with somewhat cooler conditions predicted for this weekend.
