Tail with a happy ending: Joy as missing Kilkenny pet reunited with family

An online campaign to track down a missing family dog was successful within a matter of just hours as this ‘Prince’ was reunited with his relieved owner today.

Gardai had issued an appeal on behalf of the Jack Russell’s worried owner after he had not been seen since last Sunday.

But big-hearted members of the community came together to help trace the missing dog, before he was returned to his family in Kilkenny city yesterday evening.

Local gardai thanked the public for assisting the search. A spokesperson said: “Well there’s a happy reunion. A royal welcome for Prince as he’s returned home by our Community Engagement Unit. Take a bow everyone for all the shares and interest.”
