Teen caught with €8,000 of drugs after he was stopped by gardai in Kilkenny city
A teenager was caught with €8,000 worth of drugs when he was stopped and searched by gardai in Kilkenny city.
Local officers arrested the young man on Parliament Street on Friday night on suspicion of being in possession of drugs.
He was taken to Kilkenny Garda Station where he was searched and found to be in possession of €8,000 of “controlled drugs” and a small quantity of cannabis.
A local Garda spokesperson confirmed the teenager, described as being “in his late teens” was charged with the possession of drugs for sale or supply.
