The place to be – six Kilkenny bars nominated for excellence awards

IT’S been an excellent day for the hospitality trade in Kilkenny as six establishments were nominated across nine categories for national and international awards in excellence.
The nominations in two different bar and hospitality trade awards, the Bar of the Year Awards and the Irish Hospitality Global Awards, were announced this morning, and Kilkenny bars are well represented.
The Left Bank is nominated for four awards alone.
The first of the awards, the Bar of the Year Awards recognise the excellent bars, knowledgeable staff, high-quality service, and innovation in the bar trade.
The Kilkenny establishments nominated in specific categories are:
City Bar of the Year – The Left Bank, Kilkenny
Gastro Pub of the Year – The Left Bank, Kilkenny
Best Designed Bar / Best Inside Space – The Left Bank, Kilkenny
Restaurant Bar of the Year – Rive Gauche, Kilkenny
Best Newcomer – Brogan’s Bar and Yard, Kilkenny
The winners of these awards will be announced next month.
The second awards, the 2019 Irish Hospitality Global Awards celebrate the very best of Irish hospitality both at home and abroad.
Best Irish Whiskey Experience – The Dylan, Kilkenny
Best Cocktail Experience – Biddy Early’s, Kilkenny
Best Irish Community Pub – Maher’s, Kilkenny
Best Marketing Campaign – Left Bank, Kilkenny.
The winners of these awards will be announced in October.
