Thief smashes window of car parked at Kilkenny graveyard, steals woman’s handbag as she visited grave
A thief smashed the window of a car parked outside a local graveyard and stole a woman’s handbag as she paid her respects to a loved one at the cemetery.
The robbery occurred at around 5.30pm yesterday at St Michael’s Cemetery in Tinnahinch, Graiguenamanagh.
A local Garda spokesperson confirmed: “While visiting a grave in the cemetery a woman’s car was broken into. The front passenger window was smashed and her handbag was grabbed.”
Gardai are investigating the theft. They have urged witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to contact Graiguenamanagh Garda Station on 059 972 5720.
