Thieves smash window of car parked in county Kilkenny town, ‘personal’ items stolen
THIEVES broke into a family car that was parked in a county Kilkenny town and stole personal items from the glovebox.
The family SUV, parked on the street in Clough, Castlecomer, was targeted sometime between 8.30pm and 9.30pm last Friday.
The passenger window was smashed and personal items were taken from the glove box.
A garda spokesperson told KilkennyNow.ie: “This is an unusual incident due to where it happened, the time it happened at and what attracted the thieves to the car.
“The jeep was locked up and there was nothing on display inside the car. They just took the contents of the glovebox.”
Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious area at the time is asked to contact Castlecomer Garda Station on 056 444 0650.
