Thieves try to break into vans in carpark of well-known hotel in Kilkenny city

A gang of thieves who are targeting parked work vans across Kilkenny are believed to be behind another attempt to break-into vehicles outside a well-known hotel on the outskirts of the city.

Gardai have confirmed they received a report of an attempt to break into two vans in the carpark of the Springhill Court Hotel on the Waterford Road.

The incident occurred last Tuesday, September 29. A local Garda spokesperson said: “The suspects were travelling in a dark coloured Audi. The car pulled up alongside the vans and attempted to gain access. Neither van was entered, however both vans were damaged.”

Gardai have urged anyone who knows anything about the incident to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
