A job for the special branch: Gardai investigate as mature trees cut down from county Kilkenny roadside
Eight mature trees were cut down from a roadside in county Kilkenny without the landowne’rs consent.
The Sycamore trees were cut on lands at Pleberstown, Thomastown, sometime between 5pm on Saturday and 11am the next morning.
Despite going to the effort of felling the trees, all eight were left lying in the field of the landowners and were not removed.
Local gardai are investigating the incident. They have asked potential witnesses or anyone with information about those responsibile to contact Thomastown Garda Station on 056 751 4150.
