Two drug drivers busted by gardai in separate incidents on Kilkenny roads
Two drug drivers were arrested in separate incidents in Kilkenny city and county over the weekend.
The pair were arrested by members of Kilkenny Roads Policing Unit at checkpoints in the city and Freshford yesterday.
In both cases, the motorists failed oral fluid tests for cannabis. Both drivers were also found to be in possession of small quantities of the drug.
They are due to appear before court on drug offences.
A local Garda spokesperson confirmed: “Both drivers also had small amounts of cannabis for their personal use seized. Blood samples will be forwarded to Medical Bureau of Road Safety. Court proceedings to follow.”
