UPDATE: Three men arrested in relation to hit and run death of mother of three

Three men suspected of going for a pint after killing a woman in a hit and run after robbing a convenience store, have been arrested.

Jacqueline McGovern, a 54-year-old mum of three in Killiney, was killed instantly when a getaway car used in a robbery mounted a pavement and struck her in Killiney, county Dublin last Tuesday, March 10.

The special needs teacher was out walking with here friend Audrey Behan, 51, when the incident occurred.

The gang in the car had just held up the Centra shop on Barnhill Road in Dalkey. After crashing the car the men fled on foot, and gardai believe the men went to a pub to have a drink.

This morning, gardai arrested two men, both aged in their 20s, in relation to this investigation. They are currently detained at Dun Laoghaire and Dundrum Garda Stations.

A third man, again in his 20s, was arrested by gardai shortly before lunchtime and is being questioned.
