Two people rushed to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny following horror five-car crash
The road, which was the scene of a horrific five-vehicle crash in which seven people were hospitalised, has just re-opened.
Two of the people injured were rushed to St Luke’s General Hospital, following the crash at The Forge on the N80, near Ballon, County Carlow.
The crash happened shortly after 6.30pm yesterday evening and emergency services rushed to the scene.
One of the drivers, a young male, was taken to Wexford General Hospital with serious injuries while four others were taken to University Hospital Waterford and two were taken to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny. None of the injuries are understood to be life-threatening.
The road remains closed and diversions are in place.
