Two youths to appear in court over alleged sexual assault of teenage girls on Wexford beach

Two juveniles are to appear in court today in relation to a suspected rape and sexual assault of three teenage girls at a popular seaside resort in county Wexford last summer.

Last October, four teenagers were arrested in connection with the serious sexual assault of three girls at a beach in Burrow, Courtown, county Wexford which happened at around midnight on Sunday, July 28.

The four were released without charge at that time and files were prepared for the Director of Public Prosecution.

This morning it was confirmed that two juveniles have been arrested in connection to the sexual assaults and will appear in court in Wexford this afternoon.

The three girls were brought to Dublin and examined in a specialist sex assault unit following the incident.
