UPDATE: M9 reopens after collision
THE M9 has reopened after a collision earlier blocked off an entire section of the motorway between Kilkenny city and Paulstown.
The accident caused traffic to be temporarily diverted at Junction 9 from Danesfort into Kilkenny.
Motorists heading northbound were asked take the N712, the old road from Kilkenny to Carlow, before meeting up with the motorway.
Gardai earlier confirmed the motorway had reopened after the scene of the accident was cleared.
