Weather warning: More thunderstorms to hit Kilkenny

Met Éireann has issued yet another weather warning for Kilkenny with thunderstorms expected for the remainder of the day.

The Status Yellow weather warning has forecast “thundery showers with the risk of lightning and local hail”.

The warning is in effect for south and east coasts and covers Kilkenny, Carlow, Dublin, Louth, Meath, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork and Waterford. The latest weather alert will remain in place until 8pm.

Already there have been reports of thunder, Lightening and hail in Waterford, Carlow, Laois and Dublin.

AA Roadwatch is advising motorists to take “extra care” when driving, warning: “Heavy downpours could cause a sudden change to road conditions and localised flooding.”
