US tourists staying at Kilkenny hotel test positive for Coronavirus

There has been an outbreak of coronavirus involving overseas tourists at a Kilkenny city centre hotel.

KCLR FM has reported that a group of six American tourists staying at the Hibernian Hotel on Kilkenny’s Ormonde Street have tested positive for Covid-19.

Management yesterday announced via social media that they have taken the decision to close the hotel with immediate effect until March 30, while the Covid-19 emergency remains.

KilkennyNow.ie contacted the hotel but they were unable to comment at this time.
