COVID-19 EMERGENCY: Donors still required as blood clinics go-ahead in Kilkenny

Despite the coronavirus emergency, it’s business as usual for the Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS).

The IBTS has confirmed its teams will be collecting donations in two centres in Kilkenny in the coming week.

On Wednesday, the IBTS team will be at Abbey Hall, Upper Main Street, Graiguenamanagh.

The following day the IBTS team will be at the Community Centre, The Square, Freshford.

If you are going to attend the blood clinics, you are advised to follow all the instructions regarding coronavirus coming from the health authorities, to attend alone and leave children at home.

People looking to donate can ring the IBTS in advance to book an appointment on 1850 731 137.
