Vacant supervisor role at iconic Blackberry Café just the job for right applicant

THE critically-acclaimed Blackberry Café in Thomastown is looking for a full-time supervisor/waitress to join its staff.

Candidates must have good experience and excellent customer service ability.

The successful candidate will work daytime hours, between 35 to 39 hours a week.

The Blackberry, run by Jackie Hoyne and her team, is one of county Kilkenny’s best-loved cafés, popular with locals and visiting tourists and ‘foodie’ experts alike.

The café has received numerous glowing reviews from leading food and restaurant publications. The Bridgestone Guide said: “Jackie’s food drives home a message of timeless goodness, using local specialty foods and her own vividly creative baking. A slice of that apple brandy cake and a cup of tea, my friend, and you are in heaven.”

The Blackberry, which opened in 2007, is a member of the Kilkenny Food Trail, and its insistence on only using organic, locally-sourced foods has further enhanced its reputation as one of Kilkenny’s finest cafés.

Owner Jackie said: “My aim is to develop a reinvigorated local food culture and to become a destination for local, national and international visitors.”

If you are interested in applying for the vacant position, please email your CV to jackiehoyne@hotmail.com
