Vandals set CCTV camera ablaze in Kilkenny
Gardai in Kilkenny are hunting for vandals who set a CCTV camera system alight.
Gardai noticed a telegraph pole spewing flames while on patrol on the Hebron Road in the early hours of last Saturday.
Once they got closer, they saw a CCTV camera, which was attached to the pole, had been set alight.
Kilkenny Fire Services were called to the scene and the small blaze was quickly extinguished.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
