Victim rushed to hospital after brutal attack by gang of four in Kilkenny city-centre
A man was taken to hospital after he was viciously attacked by four males in Kilkenny city-centre.
The attack occurred at The Parade shortly after midnight on Friday.
A local Garda source told KilkennyNow.ie: “A man in his twenties was attacked by four males who were unknown to him shortly after midnight on Friday night.
“The victim received a number of punches to the face resulting in cuts and bruising.”
The attackers fled the scene on foot into the grounds of Kilkenny Castle.
The victim was brought to St Luke’s General Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Gardai are investigating the incident. They have urged eyewitnesses or anyone with information about the attack to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
