Warning as litter louts dump rubbish at Kilkenny beauty spot

As they country reopens and visitors and residents to Kilkenny enjoy the recent fine weather, people have been urged not to litter our streets and public spaces and to clean up after themselves.
This was the scene by the River Nore in Kilkenny city yesterday after litter louts left a mess behind without bothering to use the public bins nearby.
Gardai warned people who are caught littering will be fined and face court action.
A local Garda spokesperson said: “We are very lucky to live in a beautiful part of the country. It is brilliant to see people enjoying the outdoors, including dining, but upsetting when some don’t clean up after themselves.”
