WEATHER FORECAST: Kilkenny braced for cold November rain
Showery and cooler conditions are set to dominate the weather in Kilkenny as we enter into November.
In its latest forecast, Met Éireann said today will be “a fresh and breezy day with sunny spells and scattered showers”, but the heaviest of these will be concentrated in Atlantic coastal counties with temperatures of between 9 to 12 degrees.
Tomorrow, conversely, will bring a good deal of dry weather in this corner of the country, with some scattered showers forecast for the north and west and temperatures reaching between 9 and 11 degrees.
More dry and bright weather for predicted for Wednesday, with northern and western counties again bearing the brunt of the worst conditions and temperatures largely the same as previous days.
Met Éireann said it will start off mostly dry and bright on Thursday, but it warned: “Cloudier conditions in Ulster and west Connacht will gradually extend eastwards through the afternoon with isolated showers. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in light to moderate northwest to west winds.”
Cloudy conditions are forecast for Friday, again with scattered patches of rain and highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees.
The national forecaster said early indications suggest next weekend will also be rather unsettled with more wet and windy weather forecast.
