WEATHER FORECAST: Kilkenny’s in for another wet and wild week as temperatures plummet again
We hate to be the bearers of bad news folks, but it appears we’re not going to see any let-up in the foul ‘Spring’ weather we’ve endured in recent weeks.
Met Éireann has warned Kilkenny is likely to be drenched by more wintry showers over the coming days as temperatures plummet to freezing again.
The national forecaster said today will be “wet and windy” with rain becoming widespread in the morning.
However this part of the country will at least avoid the worst of the falling sleet and hill snow which is set to hit parts of Ulster.
Tomorrow will be also be windy and blustery with bright or sunny spells and scattered showers and maximum temperatures of between 7C to 11C.
Met Éireann warned the mercury will drop to freezing again on Wednesday and Thursday.
The national forecaster added: “Trending colder on Wednesday and Thursday with night-time frosts returning. Daytime max around 6C to 7C and nights close to freezing. A mix of sunny spells and showers, some wintry with hail. Strong winds at times too.”
