WEATHER FORECAST: We could be in for a welcome Indian Summer
OUR unsettled weather is set to continue this week, but there is brighter news on the horizon.
Met Éireann has forecast more widespread showers interspersed with sunny spells over the coming days, but things are set to pick up later in the week and there is even a chance we could enjoy a welcome Indian summer.
Today will see much of the same pattern as of the last few weeks, with heavy showers and top temperatures of up to 18 degrees.
Tomorrow will be quite dull and cloudy, less sun but with the same old showers, with the mercury rising to a high of up to 19 degrees.
Wednesday looks like being wet and windy, with strong winds coming in from the west. It will be cooler also, with temperatures drop to just 14 degrees.
But the indications are far more positive from Thursday onwards, with blue skies and sunny periods forecast and temperatures rising to between the low and mid 20s next weekend.
