WEATHER WARNING: ‘Storm Brendan’ and gusts of up to 150kph approaching Kilkenny, say forecasters

Forecasters are warning of a large and powerful storm – with gusts of up to 150kph – which they claim will hit Kilkenny tomorrow.
The extreme forecast was issued by Weather Alert Ireland, which has dubbed the storm ‘Brendan’, earlier today. It has also forecast snow for this weekend.
Popular weather apps Accuweather and Windy.com have also warned of severe weather conditions, with gusts of up to 120kph.
National forecaster Met Éireann has also just issued a Status Yellow gale warning, but so far only for the west coast.
Weather Alerts Ireland warned that, if is lands, ‘Storm Brendan’ will be given a Red warning, the highest possible weather alert.
