You Wha? Rising Kilkenny band to light up Electric Picnic

THE Electric Picnic kicked off last night with thousands flocking to the festival early, but Sunday night will see a band from Kilkenny wind Ireland’s most popular festival down.

The Wha, a Kilkenny four-piece, have two gigs scheduled this Sunday at Ireland’s largest music and arts festival.

Formed just three years ago this month, The Wha are Finn Cusack, Sam Cullen, Marek The Lech, Abe G Harris.

The Wha are the latest big thing to emerge from the new wave of Irish guitar bands currently kicking in stage doors all over the world, joining the likes of Fontaines DC and The Murder Capital.

They released their debut single ‘Innocents’ just yesterday, which is available on Spotify.

They take to the Cosby Stage on Sunday at 3.30pm and then later on the very popular Salty Dog Stage at 9.20pm.
