What happened to Dean? Gardai renew appeal for information about missing Kilkenny man
GARDAI have renewed their appeal for anyone who may have any information about missing Kilkenny man Dean Roche to come forward.
The 31-year-old (pictured above), who lived in the Newpark area of Kilkenny city with his mother, was last seen on March 22, 2015.
Tragically, his mother Geraldine, who campaigned tirelessly on Dean’s behalf, died last year without ever knowing what happened to her son.
However, the missing man’s friend Damien Hipwell has been continuing the campaign to discover what became of Dean.
On the day he went missing Dean left his mother’s house in the city and went to Ballyfoyle to buy a car. It was later found crashed, about half a mile from where he bought it.
A number of searches involving gardai and the army over the past few years failed to uncover any new evidence or sign of what happened to Dean.
However, gardai haven’t given up hope of unravelling the mystery surrounding the Kilkenny man’s disappearance. And they believe there are people out there who know what happened to Dean and gardai are appealing to them to come forward to assist their investigation.
Anyone with information about Dean’s disappearance is urged to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000, or the Garda Confidential Telephone Number: 1800 666 111.
