The branches in Kilkenny city and Thomastown remained fully open during the Covid-19 lockdown, while the Bank of Ireland in Castlecomer operated on reduced hours.

In a statement released today, the bank said: “The Bank has been keeping all operations and services under review in line with the progress being made to re-open the economy, public health advice, and the evolving needs of our customers for branch, telephone, and online banking.

“With welcome progress being made on the nationwide easing of restrictions and reopening of the economy, Bank of Ireland will be taking a number of steps to respond to the changing landscape.”

Bank of Ireland also said it will be introducing special supports for over 65s, carers and healthcare workers once the branches reopen.

The bank said it will make modifications within their branches to allow for social distancing and the protection of customers and staff, while full ATM services, including lodgements, will be available once more.
