Up and atom! Kilkenny kids rewarded for promoting science and math in school

NINE Kilkenny primary schools have received an award for promoting science, technology, engineering and maths in school.
Teachers and pupils in the nine schools that received the Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Discover Science and Maths Award for 2019 had to record all their activities related to science, technology, engineering and maths (Stem), throughout the school year.
The Discover Science and Maths Award for 2019 are a promoted by SFI, the Department of Business, Enterprise, and Innovation, and the Department of Training, Skills, Innovation, Research and Development
The Kilkenny schools awarded an SFI Plaque of STEM for 2019 are:
- St Colman’s Clara National School
- Presentation Convent National School, Castlecomer
- Burnchurch National School
- Scoil Lachtain
- Listerlin Mixed National School
- Dunnamaggin National School
- St Aidans National School, Kilmanagh
- Brendan’s National School, Hugginstown
- Patrick’s National School, Boneyarrow Clogh
- Templeorum National School
