Weather update: a dry weekend ahead, but don’t expect lots of sun
By COLIN BARTLEY
The best news for the coming days is it will be dry but expect to see more cloud than sun.
With all the cloud cover it will be very humid, but at least the rain will stay away.
Despite continental Europe, and even the UK, being in the midst of a heatwave, with temperatures ranging anywhere from 33 degrees up to 40 degrees, there is no fear of anything like that happening here.
Today will start sunny, but the clouds will soon role in. Temperatures could get up to a sticky 23 degrees.
Saturday will be much the same as Friday, dry, cloudy and humid, so at least it will be pleasant for Ladies Day in Gowran Park.
It will be very sticky in Croke Park Saturday evening and we don’t just mean the ash in the hands of the cats and the treatymen.
Temperatures at throw-in on Jones Road could still be up at 24 degrees, all under a blanket of cloud
Sunday will be cooler, a lot more cloud, but thankfully it won’t feel as humid. It will be fresher.
Highest temperatures no higher than a disappointing 18 degrees.
