Four teens arrested in Kilkenny over alleged rape in Wexford released without charge
FOUR teenagers arrested in Kilkenny yesterday morning in connection with a serious sexual assault on three teenage girls have been released without charge.
Files are being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecution.
The alleged incident took place at on a beach at Burrow in Courtown, Co Wexford around midnight on Sunday, July 28.
Four male teenagers, three under the age of 18 and one 18 or over were arrested and questioned on suspicion of rape.
The teen’s arrests follow the alleged sexual assault of three young girls aged 14, 15 and 17 at the Co Wexford beach, the 14-year-old girl allegedly raped.
The three girls were brought to Dublin and examined in a specialist sex assault unit after the incident.
