Busted! Two cocaine seizures in separate Garda raids on homes in Kilkenny city

Up to €8,000 worth of cocaine was seized in two separate raids on houses in Kilkenny cityaround within 24 hours.

In the latest incident, members of the Kilkenny Drugs Unit investigating the sale and supply of drugs swooped on a house in the city. They seized around €5,000 worth of cocaine at the house.

A local Garda spokesperson said investigations are “ongoing”, adding: “Arrest to follow”.

Meanwhile, in a separate operation yesterday evening, members of the Garda Divisional Drugs Unit searched another property in the city and seized another €3,000 of suspected cocaine.

A man was arrested and detained at Kilkenny Garda Station, where he was subsequently charged with the sale and supply of drugs.

He is due to appear before Kilkenny District Court.
