Plans for large development of family homes in Kilkenny city

Plans for a development of 73 new family homes in Kilkenny are back on the table.

Local company Kevin Moore Building Contractor Ltd initially applied for permission to build the new development at Ayrfield, Granges Road in August of last year. However, Kilkenny County Council requested some more in-depth information in relaiton to the plans.

That information has now been provided and the plans are back with the local authority.

The 73 new residential dwellings consist of seven five-bedroom detached homes, 21 four-bedroom detached, 20 four- bedroom semi-detached, 18 three-bedroom semi-detached, three three-bedroom terraced homes and four two-bedroom apartments.

Ten detached garages will be built as part of the proposed plans and a new site entrance from Granges Road.

A decision on the housing development is expected by the middle of next month.
