Buildings in Kilkenny city-centre to be flattened to make way for apartments
Two dilapidated buildings in the centre of Kilkenny city are to be demolished to make way for a development of new apartments.
Kilkenny County Council has granted developer Martin Murphy permission to build the new apartment block at a site on Patrick Street in the city.
The plans will see the existing buildings at numbers 70 and 71 Patrick St knocked and a new two-storey building constructed in their place.
The new building will consist of four apartments, two one-bedroom apartments at ground level and two two-bedroom apartments on the first floor.
