Burnt-out car may be linked to break-in at county Kilkenny premises
Burglars made their getaway after breaking into a commercial premises was broken into in a county Kilkenny. Now gardai are trying to establish if there is a link between incident a burnt-out car that was subseqiently found nearby.
The break-in occurred at a business in Drumgoole in Castlecomer sometime between 1.30am and 2am on Wednesday, May 12.
The burglars managed to gain access to the premises and stole a number of items before making their getaway.
In the early hours of Friday morning, gardai were notified about a car on fire in an estate in Killeshal, Raheendoran, just over the border in county Carlow.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have information about either incident, or who may have dashcam footage form either area around that time, to contact Castlecomer Garda Station on 059 444 1222.
