Peacefully, at St Vincent’s hospital Dublin. Husband of the late Bridie. Deeply regretted by his sisters Julia (Phelan), Annie (Butler), Peg & Mary (San Francisco), sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
In keeping with government guidlines regarding public gatherings, a private funeral will take place. A Memorial Mass for Sonny will take place at a later date. Those wishing to leave a message of condolence can do so at RIP.ie.

Butler (nee Cantwell) (Leggettsrath, Dublin Road and formerly of Newpark, Kilkenny) 1st May 2020, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff at Archersrath Nursing Home, Mary (May), ex staff of St. Canice’s Hospital, pre-deceased by her loving husband John and her sister Teresa (Walsh), much loved mother of Mary, Toby, Catherine, John, Anne and Patrick, sadly missed by her family, brother Tom Cantwell (UK), sister Peggy Richardson (UK), son-in-law John (Maher), daughter-in-law Siobháin, grandchildren Dylan, Kevin, Jane, Eamonn, Daniel and Isabel, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.
In keeping with current government guidelines regarding public gatherings, a private Funeral will take place in the coming days and a celebration of May’s life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to leave a message of condolence to May’s family can do so on RIP.ie.

Predeceased by his parents Dick and Molly and His sister Biddy, Deeply regretted by his sisters Mary, Catherine and Anne, brothers Terence and Tim, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.
